Those interested have until April 2nd to submit their resume and cover letter.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County is looking to fill empty spots on the Accessibility Advisory Committee.
There are two spots and the term is for the remainder of the 2023-2026 County Council term.
Members provide input on the multi-year Accessibility Plan, monitor federal and provincial government directives and regulations, and advocate for people living with disabilities in Oxford County. The committee is made up of six public members and one County Councillor, and they meet bi-monthly. The meetings are both in-person and virtual, and becoming apart of the Committee gives you the opportunity to share your perspective and help shape the accessibility initiatives for Oxford County’s future.
Anyone interested in applying must send a resume and cover letter outlining their lived experience and desire to improve accessibility in the County by April 2nd at 4:30 p.m. You can either drop off your resume and cover letter in person at the Oxford County Administration Building to Lindsey Mansbridge, or email clerksoffice@oxfordcounty.ca. While this is a volunteer position, board members are entitled to compensation for their time and expenses attending meetings.
If you would like more information regarding this or any other committee, you can visit the Oxford County website.
