Looks like we will get hit with some cold weather early next week with a slight possibility for snow.
The recent run of warm weather and above average temperatures in Oxford County could soon be coming to an end.
Environment Canada is calling for some rain tomorrow and the weekend is supposed to be nice, however it will not be as warm as last weekend. Meteorologist Geoff Coulson tells Heart FM we will be running into a cold snap early next week.
"There is a possibility of some colder air coming down during the day on Monday and then overnight , Monday night into Tuesday morning, indication from some of the weather models that a low pressure system will move south of the area and the possibility of a little bit of snow in parts of Southwestern Ontario with this system. However at this point in time we are still not really all that sure we are going to see snow in the southwest, it is still possible that this particular model that's indicating this could change it's tune as we get near the end of the week and into the weekend."
Coulson's did say don't expect the cold snap to last very long and temperatures should return to their seasonal norms by mid week.
