Silly songs like The Mullet Man will be sung at a fundraising concert to benefit Theatre Woodstock. Alumni from Theatre Woodstock and WCI will be performing as well as the quirky group The Zoom Daddys.
WOODSTOCK - Theatre Woodstock, WCI Alumni & the Zoom Daddys will be performing in a fundraiser concert next weekend.
The concert will be performed in two parts. The first part will feature WCI alumni and Theatre Woodstock performers, while the second will show the Zoom Daddys.
David DeJonge is one of the band members and he says the second half of the night will be filled with silly music.
"We've got tons of very silly songs. One of them is called the Mullet Man, it’s about a man with a mullet and we've got some ridiculous love songs that make no sense. There's a song about a wood chipper and putting someone in a wood chipper, all in good fun of course, and other ridiculous songs that will hopefully make you laugh and have a really happy evening."
The second part of the concert will feature the Zoom Daddys, a comedy music group from brothers David and Richard DeJonge.
DeJonge says all of the money will be given back to the local theatre.
"The proceeds are going back to Theatre Woodstock who have been so good to me and so this is just a gesture of good will."
The other band members are bassist Greg Williams, guitarist Geordie Pollock and percussionist Thomas Stoddart.
The guest alumni who have been confirmed so far includes Desirée Ford, Teale Poirier, Zach Fulkerson, Mike Crabbe and many more.
Tickets will be $25.00 per person and it's for all ages. The tickets can be purchased online and the concert will be held at Theatre Woodstock next Saturday from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
