Some residents are already fed up with the new community mail boxes and the end of door to door delivery.
WOODSTOCK - Door to door delivery from Canada Post officially ended last Friday and Monday was the start of the new community Mail box era.
Already in Woodstock some people are unhappy with the service. Heart FM spoke with Lorrie Bailey who lives on Pavey Street and says he mail box wasn't installed until last Thursday. Now she says the key Canada Post gave her doesn't work and she has no way of accessing her mail. Bailey says she is worried she is not the only one with this problem.
"I'm just concerned that if this is happening to me, I am probably not the only person who is not able to access their mail, I am worried about ending up with late charges on bills, if I have bills that our sitting in my mailbox and I can't access it."
Bailey says when she contacted Canada Post they apologized and said someone would be in contact with her within the next 48 hours to correct the issue. However it has been over two days and still no one has contacted her and she still is unable to get her mail.
"I called back again because it had been close to the 48 hours and still no one and I tried back again today and finally got a supervisor and was told it is going to be another 48 hours for me to access my mail and in the meantime nobody has told me how I can access my mail now while I could have bills piling up."
