Construction season is officially kicking off in Woodstock this morning. Residents and commuters who utilize Parkinson Road, Mill Street and Juliana Drive need to be prepared for some delays over the next couple of weeks. This is to allow the city to do some repairs and adjustments on man-holes in these three areas. City Works Superintendent, Alex Piggott says the work will begin around 7:30 am today and will last roughly one to two weeks, depending on weather conditions, "weather dependent, we are hoping to be a couple of days on each section of road however we've posted on the signs that it could take up to two weeks". Piggott says there will be lane reductions and closures during the duration of the work. A second, smaller construction project begins Tuesday moning that will see Huron Street closed between Miller and Brant for 3 days.
