Graceview Enterprises Inc. will be in charge of building the $31.9 million elementary school on Knights Lane and it's expected to be finished by January 2026.
WOODSTOCK - We're one step closer to having a new elementary school in the north end of Woodstock.
The Thames Valley District School Board recently awarded the construction tender for the $31.9 million school to Graceview Enterprises Inc. The construction is expected to be completed by January 2026, so it can open for the 2026-2027 school year.
The construction tender was awarded on April 3rd, but the TVDSB Director of Education Mark Fisher made the official announcement yesterday.
"Thames Valley is excited to share with Oxford County students and families that a new elementary school and child care centre for north Woodstock is one step closer to completion. We look forward to seeing shovels in the ground and working towards opening the school."
The school will be located at 717 Knights Lane and it will be able to house 856 students. It's also going to have five child care rooms with up to 10 infants, 30 toddlers, and 48 preschoolers.
