WOODSTOCK - The 14th annual Cow-A-Polooza is set to take over Woodstock this weekend.
Well over 10,000 people are expected to make their way to Southside Park for the festivities which includes free concerts, soap box derbies, cow milking contests and plenty of family friendly activities. Manager of Communications and Special Events with the city of Woodstock Brad Jansen says their will be no shortage of entertainment happening all weekend long and notes this event really gets bigger and better every year.
We have attracted more vendors, more food and craft vendors and other things that we can add into the festival, and a lot of that is unsolicited, we are certainly on the map with regard to the quality of the event that we put on so the people who are in that kind of employment look for large festivals and events and are contacting the city about being apart of Cowapolooza."
Jansen says the big concerts will feature Sexy Old Dogs, Leah Daniels, Beverly Mahood, Night Fever and ABBA Mania. He notes Cow-A-Polooza has turned into a regional destination point and is chance to show the area how awesome it is to live in Woodstock.
