WOODSTOCK - The CP Holiday Train is not going to be coming through Woodstock this year.
Canadian Pacific announced last week they are going to cancel the Holiday train for 2020, with plans to come back next year. Woodstock is always one of the stops on the popular that brings Christmas Concerts to communizes all across Canada and the US.
The train always features a famous musician who would play Christmas music at towns from Port Coquitlam to Montreal. It is all done to raise food and money for local food banks as everyone who attends the concert is asked to bring non perishable food items.
This is the first time the train will be running since 1999 and over the last two decades CP has collected 4.8 million pounds of food and $17.8 million dollars.
