WOODSTOCK - The crisis line at Domestic Abuse Services Oxford are back up and running after being shut down for the past five days.
Child and Youth Worker Brittany Campbell says they did have one line open during the melee.
"We did have our managers cell phone and the one crisis line was forwarded to her phone, we did have to limit calls to 15 minutes because we had to keep the line open in case other people were trying to access us."
The lines had shut down because of the construction happening on Springbank Ave and the crisis centre had a problem with Bell getting them back up and running. Campbell says they understand people were frustrated when they couldn't get through to speak with a counselor and they apologize for the inconvenience. The lines are back up and running now and you can call them at 519-539-4811 or 1-800-265-1938.
Domestic Abuse Services offers counseling and support to woman and families when they don't have to safe place to live and counseling for sexual assault, help people find housing among other services.
