OPP are investigating a brazen daytime break and enter while the homeowner was in the back yard.
TILLSONBURG - Oxford OPP are looking into a daytime break and enter which occurred while the homeowner was in the back yard doing yard work.
Police were called to Allen Street in Tillsonburg on Tuesday afternoon between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. Police say someone entered the home through the open garage and stole various pieces of jewellery and a small amount of cash from the the bedroom.
Police estimated the value of the items take to be around $725.00. Police did canvass the area to no avail and an investigation is ongoing.
"The OPP is asking residents to be vigilant in recognizing suspicious people or vehicles that are in your neighbourhoods. It is important for this information to get to police when the suspects may still be in the area. When In Doubt... Call And Have Police Check It Out!"
