Local health officials are looking to speak with the owner of a medium size dog involved in a biting incident at Harold Bishop Park on Saturday.
NORWICH - Southwester Public Health has issued a notice about a dog biting incident at Harold Bishop Park.
The incident happened on Saturday around noon. The dog and its owner a both unknown.
The dog is described as medium-sized, short-haired, and mostly black with some white. This dog was with a child appearing to be about 8 or 9 years old.
Southwestern Public Health is looking to speak with the owner of the dog in order to assess for risk of exposure to the rabies virus. If the dog is not located, the victim in this case may have to go through a series of rabies shots as a precaution.
