OPP say a sedan left the road and hit the overpass abutment and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The eastbound ramp to Highway 401 from Culloden Road is closed for investigation.
SOUTH-WEST OXFORD - One person has died following a collision in South-West Oxford.
Oxford OPP arrived on scene today on Highway 401 near Culloden Road at 5:00 pm.
OPP say a sedan left the road and struck the overpass abutment. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The deceased has been identified as 37-year-old Abdoulaye Diaby of Montreal, Quebec.
South-West Oxford Fire Services and Oxford County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) are on scene as well.
OPP West Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit is also assisting.
All lanes have been reopened, however OPP say to be mindful of emergency crews still on scene.
