Now that justice has been served, a final goodbye is being planned for Tori Stafford. A candlelight vigil is being planned for this coming Saturday night, starting at 7:30PM in the Zellers parking lot in Woodstock. It's being spearheaded by local high school student Brittany Davis. "I wanted to do something caring and respectful in honour of Tori and her family. Just to show that the community wants to celebrate her life instead of focusing on the negative that has happened." Davis says she's had a lot of help and donations from the community to help with the balloon launch and candlelight vigil. At this point they're still looking for purple balloons, candles, styrofoam cups and portable tables. Check out the Facebook page for the event here. The Zellers parking lot is the same place where over 1000 showed up for an emotional vigil just days after Tori first went missing. There was a lot of fear and anxiety in the community at that time. 3-years-later, Woodstock resident Jan Summerhayes tells Heart FM she's very much looking forward to the closure this vigil might bring. "I just want to witness the closure and some peace all over our city, and some peace for her family finally." The support for Tori extends past Woodstock. A similar event in being held in London at the Zellers at Pond Mills and Commissioners. A woman writes on Facebook that she's organizing a similar vigil in Coquitlam, BC.
