Woodstock Property Owner to pay $9300 in fines
WOODSTOCK - A Woodstock property owner has been ordered to pay more than 93 hundred dollars in fines following several fire code violations.
- failure to ensure fire alarm system for the entire building was in operating condition (fine of $2,000)
- failure to ensure that fire alarm system was inspected and tested annually by a qualified fire alarm contractor (fine of $1,000)
- failure to prepare and implement an approved fire safety plan (fine of $1,500),
- failure to ensure doors in a fire separation was maintained operable at all times to ensure proper closing and latching (fine of $500)
- failure to ensure exit signs are illuminated (fine of $1,000)
- failure to ensure annual maintenance and testing of portable extinguishers was performed by a qualified contractor (fine of $1,000)
- failure to ensure each portable extinguisher is equipped with a tag showing maintenance or recharge date (fine of $500)
