Another reminder is going out after Brant OPP received a report of fraud in Burford.
BURFORD - A door-to-door salesperson from Burford is under investigation for fraud.
Brant OPP were recently made aware of an incident that occurred last Friday at 11 a.m. with the suspect, who claimed to be with a construction company called 24 Hour Roofing and Masonry.
The victim said they paid the individual $5,000, and work repairing a chimney began, but was never completed. The suspect is described as white, approximately 35 years old, 6ft tall, and weighing 230 pounds. He was driving a black pick-up truck.
The OPP want to remind the public to be careful when providing money for anyone in person or online.
