Premier Doug Ford will be holding a virtual press conference at 1:00 p.m. today and he's expected to announce the fate of the current school year.
ONTARIO - We could know the fate of the current school year later today.
Premier Doug Ford is set to host a virtual press conference at 1:00 p.m. today. He will be joined by Deputy Premier/Health Minister Christine Elliott and Education Minister Stephen Lecce.
They're expected announce whether or not schools will reopen for the remainder of the school year. There have been multiple reports that the province is leaning towards keeping them closed until the Fall.
We will be following this story closely and will provide updates as soon as they're available.
The stay-at-home order also ended this morning, so you're no longer limited to only leaving your home for essential reasons like groceries, health care and exercise. However, most of the province's COVID-19 safety measures will remain in place until June 14th including the five person limit for outdoor gatherings.
