WOODSTOCK - A drive may be in order for Woodstock residents going to pick up their mail as Canada Post has put an end to door to door delivery. While some have been using community mailboxes for over a decade in the Friendly City others are not pleased with the new method of mail pick up. Traditional mail drop off may still apply in the rural areas.
Heart FM took to the streets to hear what local citizens have to say about the new community mailboxes.
As more neighbourhoods in Woodstock get community mailboxes 3 keys will be sent to your door with a user guide attached.
Many believe this is one way of Canada Post saving money and in turn won't need as many employees, and others are worried as to how the elderly and handicapped will be able to access their mail if the mailbox is blocks away.
