The Woodstock Women's Fastball Association is welcoming people from all over for a fundraising tournament.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Women's Fastball Association will be hosting some October baseball of their own.
Current president Jackie Davison says they are hosting a fundraising tournament this weekend to help send some players to compete on the international stage.
"Woodstock Women's Fastball Association has three members who will be travelling to New Zealand to represent Canada in the Master's Fastball Competition. The fundraiser is to help those players with the travelling cost, equipment, registration, etc."
Incoming President Elizabeth Borbely says this tournament has drawn people in from all over.
"We have 24 teams coming from Ottawa, Stratford, Brantford, Grimsby, Toronto, and Woodstock so it's going to be a really fun time."
The day also features silent and penny auctions, a beverage garden, and of course some phenomenal ball.
It's happening at Southside Park on Saturday October 15 and Sunday October 16. It is free for spectators.
