Goodlife Fitness at the Quality Hotel and Suites has exemplified the Goodlife Fitness values of caring, trust, integrity, and passion.
WOODSTOCK - GoodLife Fitness at the Quality Hotel and Suites in Woodstock has won an Award of Excellence.
The governing body recognizes a different location every year and the Friendly City location met all of the requirements. General Manager of GoodLife Fitness, Selina Guy, explains the main reason they have been chosen. "It really basically comes down to running a really great club and that people are getting great results. Clean and tidy is a huge portion of it, and part of my reason really going for this is was the fact that we are not a new club. We have been in this location for over 17 years now, and I wanted to prove that you can still be a great club without being brand new." After holding the very successful Spin4Kids event they have been able to provide 2 grants to the community and are working on their 3rd.
Guy spoke to Heart FM about how the proceeds from Spin4Kids will assist people living in the community. "We've raised over 2.5 million dollars since we started this, what we do is we give out grants in the community. Right now we are actually looking for an organization that would like a grant from us, and it has to be with helping kids with special needs stay active. The other things that we do is place kids' coaches in the schools - they have a great time."
Canada's largest fitness chain picked the Woodstock branch for meeting all of the core values: caring, trust, integrity, and passion. Guy knows what this means to her team. "We've got this amazing team that have just gelled together they've worked so hard for this and really it is just to make it better for our members. We wanted to have the best experience of getting some great results for them that - is the big thing. We've had one of our members in the last few weeks work through some major injuries and has really come out on the other end. We've got amazing weight loss stories and every day we are just changing lives here." Guy accepted the award in Toronto on August 15th for the club.
