Should be a nice dry and warm night for trick or treaters this year in Oxford County.
WOODSTOCK - For the first time in years it promises to be a good night weather wise for trick or treaters.
The forecast right now is calling for a calm evening with temperatures around 10 degrees. Meteorologist with Environment Canada Geoff Coulson says trick or treaters have not had it easy in recent years.
"I notice that in the area we did have measurable rainfall for the last 3 or 4 Halloweens, so this one looking to be a dry Halloween, temperatures on the mild side for this time of year and it is actually shaping up to be a pretty nice evening."
Coulson says you likely won't have to wear a winter jacket this year on Halloween, which hasn't happened in a few years.
"I think layering up should be fine this year, sweater or something underneath the costume to keep the kids warm while they are out there, as I said those temperatures around 9 or 10 degrees on Monday, it is shaping up to be a really nice night for trick or treating."
