It promises to be a hot week, maybe even record setting in Oxford County.
WOODSTOCK - Summer is still a month away, however it may not feel like it in Oxford County.
Environment Canada is calling for hot temperatures all this week with day time highs in the mid to high 20's. Meteorologist Etienne Gregoire tells Heart FM we will likely get some showers this week and maybe even a thunderstorm tomorrow.
"So every day this week, because of the hot temperatures and that instability in the air, we may see some showers, it is going to be warm and it looks like we maybe flirting with some records as well towards Friday and Saturday."
He did say he doesn't expect the rain to last for long on any day this week, it mostly just be scattered showers.
Gregoire says we could even set new records in Woodstock if the temperatures hit 30 degrees on Friday and Saturday like they are suppose to.
"Looking at some records around Woodstock, depending on the day, depending on the station we need about 30 degrees to set a new record and we expect to be back up to 30 by late this week and early on the weekend."
