This season The Salvation Army and Perth OPP Auxiliary have teamed up to help give to those in need.
PERTH COUNTY - The holidays can bring added financial stress to families, and the The Salvation Army and the Perth County OPP Auxiliary Unit members are encouraging the public to help out those in need this Christmas season.
They have organized three holiday food drives within Perth County.
Food drives will take place on Saturday December 2, 2017 from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the following locations:
Zehrs- 600 Mitchell Road, Listowel
Walkom's Valu-Mart-120 Ontario Road, Mitchell
McDonald's Independent Grocer-780 Queen Street, East, St. Marys
Pre-packaged donation bags can be purchased or individual donations can be made. All proceeds assist those who need it most in Perth County.
The Salvation Army continues to support many local families at this time of year. The annual Christmas food and toy hamper programs offer peace of mind for some and continued donations are needed to keep the programs going each year.
