The Town of Ingersoll will have three athletes competing this year at the Special Olympics Ontario 5-pin bowling Championships.
INGERSOLL - Three athletes from Ingersoll are heading to the Special Olympics Ontario 5-pin bowling Championships in Oshawa.
Ingersoll Community Coordinator for the Special Olympics Karmelle Taylor says they are really excited to represent Ingersoll at the games.
"Totally awesome, totally excited, totally everything, this their first experience there and Shona has actually been involved for 20 years, she is our first Olympian to have joined and she has stayed on forever."
Shona Paterson, Jonathan Gordon and Graham Guitard will compete at the games for two days starting on Thursday. Taylor explains how the athletes qualified for the games.
"I have to submit all there averages each week, I submit them and then we went to a Provincial qualifier, which was in Brantford."
We will provide you with an update on how the athletes did on Monday.
