Chocolatea in Ingersoll was honoured with Entrepreneur of the Year award at the Oxford Small Business Centre
INGERSOLL - The Oxford Small Business Centre hosted a Celebrate Success event for current and past participants in the Ontario Self Employment Benefit Program.
At the networking event they also handed out the award for the OSEB Entrepreneur of the Year. This year the award went to Cindy Walker of Chocolatea in Ingersoll. OSEB Program Manager Cheryl Buchner tells Heart FM why they selected Walker for the award.
"Walker worked hard at her business even after having to adjust her business plan as new information came to light, stepping back, kind of coming at it in a little bit of a different process, having proceeded ahead and opened the store here in Ingersoll, really a very modern and inviting store helping to revitalize the area of King Street in Ingersoll."
Buchner says they wanted to host the event to wrap up the program which was terminated by the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities.
