INGERSOLL - Ingersoll's Kiwanis Club is always giving back to the community and now they're giving thanks to their help. By hosting an open house to recognize all of their supporters, volunteers, sponsors and members.
With food, drinks, presentations and testimonials of success, its a chance for people to be able to get out and see what the Kiwanis does for the community.
Member, Sam Horton provides some insight on a few of the speakers.
"These are people the Ingersoll Kiwanis have assisted and their going to tell us about what the difference has been to them and how Kiwanis has helped."
Horton, shares an incredible story about how beneficial a small act can be.
"Evelyn, collected thousands of aluminium tabs off of cans and she was able to make $200 for Kiwanis that went directly towards buying coats for families."
This friendly get together is open to the public and will be next Sunday the 21st from 1-4PM at the Elmhurst.
