Dairy farmers can now sign up for the very first Outdoor Dairy Days. It's an in-person event and it will take over the Discovery Farm site in Woodstock on September 21st and 22nd.
WOODSTOCK - Dairy farmers are invited to the first ever Outdoor Dairy Days this September, presented by Canada's Outdoor Farm Show.
The in person two day event will take place on September 21st and 22nd.
President of the Farm Show Doug Wagner says the event will feature demonstrations and is a chance to meet in person.
"We're hoping to have a very focused and well qualified audience for the people that are there. We're inviting exhibitors to come participate and we're going to ask some of the exhibitors that have an interesting story to tell about some of the products and experiences they've had to speak to the group while they're here."
They hope to draw 1,000 dairy farmers to the event, each day. The number is capped at 1,000 because of capacity limits. Tickets cost about $34 each and they are available online here.
The outdoor, in-person event is in partnership with Progressive Dairy Operators and will take place at the Discovery Farm site in Woodstock; the home of Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show.
Wagner says it is not meant to replace the Farm Show, which is not happening this year.
"We're happy that some of the restrictions have been adjusted or lifted. So we're planning these two events, one Dairy Days and one Crop Stop, and they're very focused on the crop industry and the dairy industry."
Crop Stop is currently set to take place on September 23rd and 24th.
