BEACHVILLE - The Beachville District Museum is welcoming one of the owners of Jakeman's Maple Syrup tonight for their speaker series.
Bruce Jakeman will be on hand to talk about the rich family history of Jakeman's Maple Syrup. Jakeman’s Maple syrup is 100% pure and sourced from local farms all over Ontario. They have been producing maple syrup in South West Oxford for five generations. The family started selling Maple Syrup on the side of the road and Jakeman's didn't hit store shelves until the 70's. Today you can find it in the grocery store and they also have their own retail store at the Jakeman's Family farm just outside of Beachville.
Bruce Jakeman will be talking about the family history and the impact the maple syrup business has had in shaping our communities.
The talk will take place between 7-8 pm tonigh Tuesday January 14th and they will have time for discussion and refreshments afterwards. They might even have a few pancakes and maple syrup too.
