After four full days, John Robinson steps down from the stand. The last bits of cross examination and re-examination were heard in court Thursday. Crown Attorney Tom Meehan suggested that Robinson was manipulative as he wrote letters to family and friends while in custody. Meehan said that the feelings of fear and apprehension were not felt by Robinson on the night in question contradicting what he's testified in court. During her re-examination, Anik Morrow asked Robinson why he felt vulnerable and concerned: He felt inferior in size, was worried about Amy Gilbert's health, and didn't want a fight to occur in his home. Robinson says it was an unplanned night altogether. A new witness to take the stand as court resumes Friday morning.
