Abigail Norris opened a lemonade stand in Woodstock Saturday afternoon and she raised $202 for the Woodstock Hospital and London Children's Foundation by the end of the day.
WOODSTOCK - A 9-year-old from Woodstock managed to raise $202 for the Woodstock Hospital and London Children's Foundation over the weekend.
Abigail Norris opened up her own lemonade stand on Frances Street Saturday afternoon. She says it was a huge success.
"There was a lot of people! This one person was just jogging around the block and he didn't want lemonade but still gave us $10."
The Drunken Beavers Jeep Crew also stopped by to support the cause. They were Abigail's first customers of the day and they parked their vehicles along the street.
This was not Abigail's first lemonade stand fundraiser. She managed to raise $107 for the Woodstock Hospital and Simba's Cat and Kitten Rescue last year.
Abigail explains why she decided to support for the Woodstock Hospital and London Children's Foundation this year.
"I have been in the hospital multiple times and so have other kids a lot of times with cancer and stuff. So I wanted to help other people in the hospital."
Abigail's mother Sarah Bonin is very proud of her daughter.
"She's always about helping people and giving to people. We dealt with food allergies and the Woodstock Hospital frequently when she was little, so I think that is why she wants to help with the Hospital so much."
Abigail and her mother stopped by the Woodstock Hospital and London Children's Foundation yesterday to drop off the money they raised.
