Oxford County is seeing an increase in jobs available this year.
OXFORD COUNTY - A great economy in Oxford County has resulted in an increase in jobs this year.
Sustainability and growth in the manufacturing sector of Woodstock is a big factor.
Natalie Surridge, Program Director of the Oxford Workforce Development Partnership says they have found a lot of postings this year.
"We've has 733 positions posted, and over 75% of them are in the manufacturing sector. Just in August alone from the 1st to date, 45 positions posted and again, 70% of those are in production."
She says the life style has a big factor into the development.
"We are promoting a life style in Oxford County. Our campaign to attract people to Oxford is all about work, live, play. Cost of housing is less here, taxes, safer communities, but still have all the amenities that you would have at the large centers within Oxford County."
Anyone searching for a job can use County tools like the Community Employment Services and the Tillsonburg Multi-Service Centre.
