OPP are investigating after finding the bodies of a man and a woman, inside a home on Woodhouse Street in Simcoe.
UPDATE 1/13/2020: A post mortem exam was completed on Thursday, police say foul play is not suspected in the preliminary results of the examination. Police will now look to the Toxicology results when they become available to piece together what happened.
SIMCOE - Norfolk OPP are investigating after finding the bodies of a man and a woman, inside a home on Woodhouse Street in Simcoe.
Officers made the discovery while doing a well being check on the home on Tuesday morning around 11:00 a.m.
Constable Ed Sanchuk says at this point they have more questions than answers.
"As a result the OPP Forensic Identification unit has attended and is assisting with the investigation. A post-mortem examination is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday January 9th to determine the cause of death. Right now we have more questions than answers and we are hoping to get those questions answered during the post mortem examination."
The Norfolk OPP crime unit is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of both individuals and once new information becomes available, an update will be provided. The investigation is ongoing and once more information is available, we will be providing you with an update.
