Perth County OPP are reminding everyone to move over and leave a lane when you see a police cruiser or any emergency vehicle on the side of the road.
The message comes, just days after an officer was nearly hit by a car that didn't move over when an officer was issuing a ticket on the highway.
The Move Over law requires all drivers to move over, leaving at least one lane between your vehicle and a parked emergency vehicle as long as it is safe to do so. Doing so can save lives, refusing to Move Over can net you a $2,000 fine and three demerit points.
Move Over leave a lane, it's the law.
