The City of Woodstock is launching a new online procurement service on Friday morning.
WOODSTOCK - The City of Woodstock is moving away from paper and modernizing the way they accept bids and tenders services.
Woodstock will unveil the new fully integrated online procurement service tomorrow morning. It will allow vendors to view, register and submit bids online. Development Officer Brad Hammond tells Heart FM this is great news for vendors.
"Some of the benefits for the vendors are that they can register emergency contacts, subscribe and receive downloads and addendum automatically and they can instantly access the results and see who the successful bidder was."
Hammond says there is also a number of benefits from the cities standpoint.
"This is going to stream line our process, one of the main things is this will eliminate any mathematical errors that take place in bids, it is all calculated online, provide for digital bonding and basically it will provide our vendors to bid anytime they want 24/7 365 days a year."
Hammond notes the City has been working on this for awhile and they are excited to launch the service on their web site on Friday morning.
