The youth theater company, Stages will perform Mulan Jr from August 23rd till the 25th at Theater Woodstock.
WOODSTOCK - STAGES of Theater Woodstock presents...Mulan Jr.
The youth theater company features kids aged six through 13.
Camp director Victoria Thompson explains the story of Mulan.
"Girls were expected to grow up to be brides and mothers and that was it. Mulan is a story about a girl who kind of doesn't feel that she fits that mold and wants to do more with her life than just be a bride and be a mother."
She says this is a great lesson for the kids to learn.
"What we want when kids come to stages and what we want when kids come to camp is just for them to be confident about themselves. We know that everyone is different and we look at those differences as ways to stand out and being true to who you are and Mulan speaks to that so perfectly."
They will be performing their rendition of the Disney classic from August 23rd till the 25th.
Tickets cost 15 dollars for adults and 12 dollars for anyone 17 or under.
