The Oxford Lions are putting on 'Not That 70s Show' to raise money for Sakura House
If you're looking for a blast from the past, and to help out a few local causes, the Oxford Lions Club has a can't miss event.
The Not That 70s Show will be at WCI on Saturday May 28th.
The event features musical acts HWY 19 and Inverted Roots and Oxford Lion's member Steve Newton says they will also have some acts to keep you laughing.
"We have comedy - almost like a Saturday Night Live type of comedy - between the musical acts. So it's a lot of fun and people come out with smiles on their faces and they have a great time."
The proceeds from the night will also be going to help support local causes according to Oxford Lions member Tina McEwin.
"It's going to Sakura House and other Lions' projects that we take part in, but mostly that's our focus. That's actually how our band HWY 19 got involved."
Tickets for the event are only $15 and McEwin and Newton say it's going to be a fun, affordable night out.
"Tickets are quite reasonable, everyone enjoys themselves and we have an amazing silent auction. This year we've got some super prizes - our big prize is two tickets provided by VIA Rail going to Quebec City."
Tickets can be bought at First Ontario Credit Union and Fritzies in Woodstock.
The event will be on Saturday May 28th at 8 p.m. at WCI.
