The Ford Government has announced 26 new beds for Caressant Care in Woodstock. It also says 138 beds will be upgraded at the long-term care home.
WOODSTOCK - Twenty-six new long-term card beds will be added to Caressant Care in Woodstock.
The Ford Government also says 138 beds will be upgraded at the Woodstock long-term care home.
Oxford MPP Ernie Hardeman says this is excellent news for the community.
"I’m very pleased with today’s announcement and what it means for our senior population. We’re ensuring our seniors get the quality of care they need and deserve right here in their community."
There are now 214 new and 238 upgraded long-term care beds in development in Oxford County. This includes 28 new and 100 upgraded beds at peopleCare in Tavistock and 160 new beds at peopleCare in Tillsonburg.
Ford Government is hoping to upgrade 28,000 beds and add more than 30,000 new beds across the province by 2028.
