SOUTH WALSINGHAM - No one was hurt following a two vehicle crash in South Walsingham.

They collided on Front Road Saturday evening and one of the vehicles wound up leaving the road and entering the ditch. Norfolk OPP got the call just before 9:30 p.m.

Both drivers have been charged with careless driving. One of them is an 19-year-old from Otterville and the other is an 18-year-old from Norfolk County.

NORFOLK COUNTY - Police are warning the public after someone was duped out of thousands of dollars in an online scam.

OPP say a scam artist contacted the victim through social media and told them that they won a $800,000 prize. The victim sent them about $150,000 in e-transfers using a bitcoin website and realized it was a scam afterwards.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information should contact Norfolk OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Police say you should be on the lookout for suspicious messages claiming you have won prize after downloading a new media platform. If this happens to you, make sure you delete the message and don't send them any money.
