OPP say alcohol was involved when they arrested a 46 year old man from Norwich on charges of assault, assaulting a police officer and take a motor vehicle without consent.
NORWICH - A 46 year old man from Norwich is facing several charges after an assault on Robson Street.
Police say two people were involved in the disturbance, late Thursday afternoon. Officers attended the scene and found that one of the men had been drinking.
Gerald Homenuik was arrested and has been charged with the following offences:
- Assault X 2
- Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent
- Assault Peace Officer
- Operation While Impaired
- Failure or Refusal to Comply With Demand
- Breach of Recognizance
- Driving While Under Suspension
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock at a later date.
