Officers were able to locate the human remains on Mall Road on New Year's Eve in Tillsonburg and OPP says more details will be released when they become available.
UPDATE - The human remains discovered on December 31st in Tillsonburg belong to James Edward Blakley.
Blakley had been reported missing from his home in Brownsville since September 10th, 2019. The OPP put out several messages for missing people during this time and his family was very worried about him. He was 42 years old.
The remains were found on Mall Road in Tillsonburg. The circumstances surrounding the death were deemed non-suspicious in nature.
The investigation was conducted by the Oxford County OPP Major Crime Unit and OPP West Region Criminal Operations, under the direction of Detective Inspector MaryLouise Kearns, OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
TILLSONBURG - Oxford OPP have found human remains in Tillsonburg.
Officers, along with the Forensic Identification Services, were on scene to investigate after they received a report about them being located on Mall Road on New Year's Eve at approximately 5:00 p.m.
Along with members of the OPP, the Forensic Identification Services (FIS) were also on scene to investigate.
OPP says more details will be released when they become available.
