Oxford County has made their case in Queens Park against cuts in health care.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Oxford Health Coalition travelled to Queens Park today to speak out about health care cuts.
They brought the results of the referendum to gain the legislators attention.
Spokesperson for the coalitions Bryan Smith says they are aware that our situation is especially in danger.
"As we look at our three hospitals all subject to cuts in favour of hospitals that are outside of our boundaries and at a distance that puts our health at risk. To an administrator sitting somewhere in Toronto is just an hop, skip and jump away, but a hop, skip and jump could mean life or death for a patient."
Smith says he met a lot of people across Ontario that feel that people feel the current government has neglected our health care needs.
"Who keep cutting away hospital, home, and healthcare and talk about transforming it. But, never put anything into place, so people fall into cracks and falling into really serious health emergencies."
Smith says the reaction he received from people at Queen's Park was amazing.
Including, our MPP, Ernie Hardeman who committed to taking the ballots from the referendum into legislation to make sure the health minister is aware of the concerns.
