A Nigerian man working in Woodstock is facing a nightmare after his documentation was stolen from his home along with his parents medication who are visiting from Nigeria.
WOODSTOCK - A Nigerian man living in Woodstock is facing a nightmare scenario after a theft at his apartment.
Adeotun Ademujimi was visiting his former school Lambton College in Sarnia with his family who were visiting from Nigeria on Saturday when the theft happened. The thief or thieves stole a number of items from his apartment at 900 James Street including his International passport, his Covenant degree certificate with his full name, Lambton College postgraduate certificate in business management and International Business, post graduate work permit and his high school certificate.
Even worst than that they stole his parents drug pouch which included medication for high blood pressure, arthritis and his dad's diabetic drugs and blood sugar check device which were all prescribed in Nigeria. Ademujimi says he just wants whoever stole these items to please return them.
"I would be most grateful if the person who did this can return the items, my dad's items, my dad's drugs, my mom's drugs, I would be most grateful if they could return these medications, they need them and even my items, I would be most grateful if they could be returned back to me."
Ademujimi is working in Woodstock and he will have to basically start from scratch in order to have all of his proper documents in order after the theft.
"It's kind of traumatizing the whole process, I have to start all over again at the Nigerian embassy with my police report incident number, letting them know what happened. It is going to take a lot of time and headaches for me as a person but I'm just trying to pull through it all and I really hope the person who did this could maybe have a little empathy and return my items to me, I would be most grateful."
Also stolen was a red HP laptop, a Samsung Galaxy S4, a Casio wristwatch, a Galaxy Tabs with a brown flip cover and a Nokia blue phone.
Anyone with information on this crime can contact Woodstock Police or Crime Stoppers and hopefully help to return some of these items.
