WOODSTOCK - Despite repeated warnings from police, people are still leaving their pets in hot cars.
Woodstock Police responded to three complaints this weekend where dogs were left inside a hot vehicle. People need to remember that the temperature inside your car is a lot hotter than it is outside. Leaving a pet inside a vehicle on a hot day can prove fatal for your pet in a matter minutes.
Police also were called to a home where a dog was left outside in the scorching heat without food and water.
Overall officers dealt with ten animal complaints this weekend. They had two calls where a possum and a raccoon were acting awkwardly. Also deer had an injury and had to be put down.
