Plattsville Fire department continues to battle blaze on Albert Street West.
Blandford-Blenheim - An early morning fire at a 2 storey business in Plattsville caused 30 homes in the area to be evacuated. Oxford County OPP responded to the fire at 65 Albert Street West at around 6:30 a.m. The vacant 2 storey business has an apartment on top, the resident of the apartment was safely evacuated. The fire has shutdown Albert Street between York and Douro due to smoke and wind. The road is expected to remain closed until the fire is extinguished and the investigation complete.
All people have been accounted for and occupants of the surrounding homes, including the resident of the apartment suffered no injuries. The Plattsville fire department continues to put out of the fire.
