A private funeral service will be taking place at the Sadlon Arena in Barrie tomorrow in honour of Haldimand OPP Constable Grzegorz Pierzchala.
BARRIE - A private funeral service will be taking place in Barrie, to honour the 28-year-old OPP officer who was killed west of Hagersville.
Constable Grzegorz Pierzchala was killed in what police have described as an "ambush" attack on Tuesday December 27th. He was shot and killed while he responded to a report of a vehicle stuck in a ditch west of Hagersville, and two people have been charged with first-degree murder.
Pierzchala was from Barrie, so the private service will be happening at the Sadlon Arena tomorrow starting at 11:00 a.m. An in-person broadcast of the funeral will also be taking place at the Caledonia Lions Hall in Haldimand County.
