Two Boston Pizza locations will be hosting fundraisers this Tuesday evening in support of Crime Stoppers.
WOODSTOCK/TILLSONBURG - In support of Crime Stoppers Awareness Month, there will be two fundraisers happening at Boston Pizza.
Last year they have recovered $27,500 in stolen property, along with $25,755 in narcotics.
Community Service Officer for the Woodstock Police Shaylyn Jackson says Crime Stoppers received over 300 tips in 2019.
"So it is an organization that partners with other local police organizations, including Woodstock Police and OPP, however Crime Stoppers does not work for the police service, they are a non-profit organization."
It'll be at the locations in Tillsonburg and Woodstock on January 28th.
Tickets cost $20.00. She says you get an individual, and one location is also offering a pasta dish, and a drink.
Jackson says if you're not able to go, you can still participate throughout the month.
"Throughout the entire month of January, any Monday, if you decide to go to Boston Pizza you can let your server know that you are there to support to Crime Stoppers and a portion of the sales will also be donated to Crime Stoppers on Mondays."
She adds the fundraisers are for Crime Stoppers to be able to pay out tipsters who are able to share information with them.
It goes between 5:00 and 8:00 pm.
