The Realtors Care Food Drive had another huge success with over 26,500 pounds of food collected.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Realtors Care Food Drive was a huge success.
The Woodstock-Ingersoll and District Real Estate Board is thanking the106 volunteers, plus their friends and family who helped with the food drive.
Officials are estimating about 3,500 pounds of food collected in Ingersoll and 23,000 pounds collected in Woodstock Wednesday night.
President Anthony Montanaro wanted to thank all the volunteers who helped make this event great, along with the kindness and support have been given through the community.
"The generosity from our communities is amazing and it is expected that the food raised will
help keep our local food bank's shelves stocked up for many months to come. It has been 11
years since the inception of the REALTORS® Care Food Drive and it is estimated that over of
218,500 pounds of food has been collected at this event for our local food banks to date".
They were able to cover not just Woodstock, Ingersoll, and Sweaburg, but were able to visit new routes this year in Beachville, Embro, and Innerkip, for their local Salvation Army food banks as well.
If anyone is wanting to still donate, they are asking you to please take your donation directly to your local Salvation Army.
