WOODSTOCK - The 5th annual Ride Don't Hide is happening this Sunday at Huron Park Secondary School starting at 9:00 a.m.
Ride Coordinator Kathleen Campbell-Conlon says they are bringing back the Advanced 48 KM route, they have a 28 KM intermediate route and two other options for less experienced riders.
"Our trail ride has expanded, so this year it is 15 KM and it includes Burgess Park, along with a trip through Roth park and our family ride, which is 6 kilometres, which leaves from Huron Park and goes around the suburb areas and comes back into the High School within about 6 kilometres."
Campbell-Conlon says that all of the money raised at the event will go to support the programs offered by CMHA Woodstock.
"We are looking to raise money for community mental health programs. Over the last 4 years we have been able to raise over $80,000 to help support community mental health programs, such as Oxford County walk in counselling. This is a program that is available for anyone living in Oxford County that is looking to access mental health and addiction support and they are able to do so without the barriers of having a 9-5 time slot, we are available on the evenings, we are available on the weekends and we are available in Tillsonburg, Woodstock, Tavistock, Ingersoll, so that people in those communities can have access to this free timely service."
