Police say to celebrate responsibly this St. Patrick's Day and if you decide to go out, make sure you find a safe way home either by cab or through a credible, safe rideshare service.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Police will be setting up RIDE programs for St. Patrick's Day.
Police say RIDE programs will be throughout the city this weekend and throughout the week.
They recognize St. Patrick's Day and the weekend leading up to it is a popular time for celebration.
They say to not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs if you choose to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. They say if you do choose to drink alcohol or consume drugs, to do so responsibly.
They add to know your drink limit, carry a naloxone kit and consider celebrating at home to prevent the spread of illness.
If you decide to go out and celebrate, police say to find a safe way home either by taking a cab or a credible and safe rideshare service. They also say to have a sober driver who is designated or you can even be the designated driver.
