Ontario Toy Show Celebrating 41 Years

Lots of toy collectors will be stopping by the Embro Zorra Community Centre on Sunday.

EMBRO - Lots of people will pack the Embro Zorra Community Centre for the 41st annual Ontario Toy Show.

It will be taking place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. this Sunday, with awards handed out at 2:30 p.m.. It's a toy collectors paradise, especially for those who like farm, truck and construction models.

Rod Liddle is one of the organizers and he says it attracts collectors from Oxford County and beyond.

"We know we've got some people coming from Indiana this year. Previously we've had people from New Zealand, Germany, Quebec, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. It's a broad audience!"

He says about 500 people attended last year and they're hoping for a similar turnout this weekend. They will have about 35 dealers spread out throughout the community centre this year.

Karyn Liddle, who is also organizing the event, says the admission price is very affordable.

"It's $6 per adult, $2 for children 12 and under and toddlers are free. All of the proceeds go towards Rotarian projects both locally and abroad."
