Weapons Charges Laid in Ingersoll

An investigation into intimate partner violence has lead weapons related charges in Ingersoll.

INGERSOLL - An intimate partner violence investigation leads to multiple charges.

The Oxford OPP conducted a search warrant last Wednesday at a home and vehicle in Ingersoll after a complaint from a resident. As a result, a 38-year-old Ingersoll person is facing a total of 7 charges, including, two counts of Breach of Firearms Regulation - Store firearm or restricted weapon, then one count each of Criminal Harassment, Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or ammunition, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition, and Possession of prohibitied or restricted firearm with ammo.

The suspect was held in custody pending a bail hearing, but has since been released from custody on conditions.
